Energy and Electricity
This Science game is aimed at Year 6 students studying energy and electricity. The author of this game suggests that prior to playing this game students would have to work with some electrical equipment and build circuits to understand how electricity is created. From here students could look at how to use renewable forms of energy to reduce their power bill.
Although designed for Key Stage 2, this game would certainly also be of use to Key Stage 3 classes studying electrical circuits.
Now test yourself. Can you answer each of the following questions?
Electric current is measured using what device?
Batteries convert chemical energy to what kind of energy?
In terms of electricity, what does DC stand for?
The wire inside an electric bulb is known as the what?
Can you give an example of renewable energy?
Can you give an example of a fossil fuel?
What reduces electricity surge?
