What2Learn

Prepare for exam success

What has changed in the new What2Learn?

We are really excited about the new version of What2Learn and the fantastic features included. The user experience will be greatly enhanced and What2Learn will be a much more effective educational tool for both students and teachers.

Key additions that have been made include:

Dashboard

The new version of What2Learn includes a dashboard which allows users to personalise their What2Learn area in lots of different ways. For students, the inital dashboard will be fairly basic but additional features become ‘unlocked’ as they complete more games.

 Sharing

Sharing and monitoring

Teacher-student sharing. Through the use of share codes teachers will now be able to access the achievement records of students they teach. Teachers will also be able to add their own questions and answers to What2Learn to create sets of games. These games will only be available to students entering the required share code. More info.

Student-student sharing. Students can now add one another to a league and compete to see who has completed the most games. The league will also enable students to see the micon of each of their friends. More info.

Teacher-teacher sharing. Where teachers have made their own sets of games they can share these with their colleagues to spread the educational benefit of their work.

Switching between classes

Switch between different levels of content quickly and easilty. In the old version of What2Learn you needed two accounts if you wanted to access both levels of content – this is no longer the case and jumping from KS3 to KS4 takes only three clicks of a mouse.

 Change class

Most of the changes listed above came about as a result of requests from our users. Please let us know of any other ways in which you feel What2Learn should be developed.
