Pursuit cycling hangman – London 2012 educational game
Pursuit cycling hangman is one of the many new games added to the W2L game generator to celebrate the big sporting event of the summer. Try out this sample game on settlements (created for KS3 Geography) and let us know what you think. It is a race against time – you need to answer all eight questions before you are overtaken and lose the race.
The game below is just one of the thousands of games at What2Learn. Sign up for free access!
As your students become more excited with the approach of the Olympics, our new sports themed games provide a great tool for engaging students and enhancing their learning. Ten such games have been added to our game generator, including archery, track and field, sailing and cycling. Learn more here.
In addition to our new sports games to celebrate the events of the summer, there are twenty other learning games you can make with our game generator. These range from zombie boxing to balloon rides for teddy bears!
All you need to do is go to What2Learn’s game generator, choose the kind of game you want to make and then fill in the blanks with the questions and answers you want to see in your game. You can even see the scores your students get in the games you create.
This is a great tool for students to use to develop their knowledge and to test their friends with. Teachers can also use it to create great activities for use during lessons. By creating a bank of these games and bookmarking them, teachers can call them up whenever they are needed. They can also be shared with colleagues.
The types of games which can be created include:
- Quizzes which require students to type answers to given questions (thus developing spelling accuracy at the same time as enhancing knowledge).
- Hangman-style games.
- Anagram-based games.
- Interactive wordsearch games.
