Irregular verbs – practice game
What is an irregular verb?
I am sure you remember that a verb is a ‘doing’ word. Many verbs can be made past-tense by adding ‘ed’ at the end, for example stayed, climbed, surfed, etc.
However, some verbs cannot be made into past tense simply by adding ‘ed’ to the end of them. These verbs are known as irregular verbs. This game will develop your knowledge of some examples of irregular verbs. You need to quickly match the present-tense verbs to their past-tense versions.
The game author described this game as ‘irregular verbs practice for children aged 8-13.’
